On most backpacks designed for carrying a firearm, the firearm is retrieved from the pack by pulling it up and over the head. Many hunters find this design to be cumbersome, so they remove their backpack in order to retrieve the firearm.

Vorn Equipment’s QRR system is the only one designed to release the firearm by pulling it from the side of the backpack. This is faster and easier than any other solution on the market. Speed is one aspect, but another is being able to carry the firearm comfortably while knowing your firearm is easily accessible whenever the situation calls for it. After practicing a few times, most hunters will be able to release the firearm smoothly within two seconds.

Vorn Deer: The largest of the designs – the Vorn Deer Backpack, available in Realtree Xtra, is designed with the rifle hunter’s ease of use in mind. Boasting the QRR system and a volume of 42 liters (2600 cubic inches), not including the weapons compartment, the Deer is ideal for long trips afield. The spacious and well-padded weapon compartment fits all conventional hunting shotguns and rifles with, or without, scopes and/or bipods. The internal frame in aluminum 6061 T6 efficiently transfers the load from the main compartment to the carrying system. Wide and fairly thin shoulder straps ensure comfortable carrying, but do not interfere with the buttstock of your firearm when shooting.  A proper hip belt provides for comfortable load transfer and has MOLLE for mounting pouches and accessories. External and internal pockets and compartments provide storage and easy access to your hunting gear, and an internal pocket is designed for a hydration bladder. Additional features include YKK zippers and gliders, Duraflex Acetat buckles and high-quality nylon webbing. This pack weighs 2,6 kg (5,8 lbs).

Vorn Lynx: The mid-sized 12- to 20-liter Vorn Lynx Realtree Xtra Camo Backpack is designed to provide the gun hunter with quick and easy access to his or her shotgun or rifle. Although the Lynx is smaller than Vorn’s popular Deer pack, it includes many of the same impressive features, such as the patented QRR system. A spacious and well-padded weapon compartment fits all normal hunting shotguns and rifles with or without scopes and/or bipods. Wide and fairly thin shoulder straps ensure comfortable carrying, but do not interfere with the buttstock of your firearm when shooting. A proper hip belt ensures comfortable load transfer and has MOLLE for mounting pouches and accessories. External and internal pockets and compartments provide storage and easy access to your hunting gear and an internal pocket is designed for a hydration bladder. Vorn Fox: The lightweight and versatile Vorn Fox 7-Liter Backpack in Realtree Xtra camo is ideal for short days afield.  With a volume of 7 liters (400 cubic inches), not including the weapons compartment, the Vorn Fox still has plenty of room for your essential gear. The spacious and well-padded weapon compartment fits all normal hunting shotguns and rifles with, or without, scopes and/or bipods. The internal frame is made of aluminum 6061 T6. The weapons compartment can be detached from the main compartment and mounted on the compression straps on the side of larger backpacks (>80 liters, >5000 cubic inches). A wide and fairly thin shoulder strap ensures comfortable carrying, but does not interfere with the buttstock of your firearm when shooting. The pack features a detachable 40 mm wide hip belt and external and internal compartments for storage and easy access to your hunting gear. The Fox is easy to use with a hydration bladder. Just place the bladder in the main compartment and pull the hose trough the top zipper. The pack features YKK zippers and gliders, and Duraflex Acetat buckles high quality nylon webbing. Weight with shoulder straps and hip belt: 1,7 kg (3,7 lbs). Weight without shoulder straps and hip belt: 1,1 kg (2,4 lbs).
