The outdoors lifestyle extends far beyond the campfire or deer stand. Folks want to wear their Realtree camo loud and proud, especially when they hit the water.
Millions of outdoorsmen fish and boat every summer, and many make sure their watercrafts — whether it’s a stand-up paddle board or decked-out bass boat — carry the latest Realtree colors.
Let’s look at the hottest Realtree camo-adorned fishing boats, kayaks and boards for 2016.
Jackson Kayak Realtree Kilroy, Realtree Kilroy LT and Cuda LT Realtree Hardwoods HD: Paddlesports juggernaut Jackson Kayak has partnered with Realtree for three years, and its innovative designs are evident in these crafts. Based on one of the company’s hottest fishing kayaks, the Realtree Kilroy is a sit-inside model designed for fishing and waterfowl hunting. Wrapped in Max-5, it features storage for a gun, ammo and decoys. The LT version (lightweight and thermoformed) is a lighter copy of the Kilroy. The Cuda LT Realtree Hardwoods HD is a maneuverable 12-foot sit-on-top kayak designed for small to medium lakes and rivers. It’s sleeker than its larger predecessor and slightly more stable.
BOTE HD, Rackham and Drift boards: Many people had never heard of paddle boards until recently. BOTE has helped change that. The 12-foot HD embodies what stand-up paddle boarding should be. It’s a hybrid between a recreational surf-style hull and displacement touring hull with a V-nose entry, which lets you paddle it effortlessly while maintaining excellent stability. It also features a Stashpod, Tackle Rac receivers and nose and tail bungees. The 12-foot Rackham combines the features of the HD and the 14-foot Ahab, making it the company’s most versatile board. It has a capacity of almost 400 pounds and features displacement hull technology that allows effortless paddling. A recessed platform keeps you dry and comfortable. The 11-foot, 6-inch inflatable Drift features the first-ever wooden inlay deck on an inflatable paddle board. It’s BOTE’s first Tackle Rac-compatible inflatable and the first inflatable to come in its own waterproof bag. It provides the best features of solid boards with the ease of a flexible model.
Wilderness System Tarpon 120 Ultralite and Pungo 120 Ultralite kayaks: Adorned with Realtree AP camo, these kayaks are built with ultralight material, giving them a composite-like weight while maintaining durability, stability and superior performance. The Tarpon 120 is designed for anglers who enjoy fishing various waters. Its design allows agility and speed, letting you travel quickly yet fight fish effectively or handle rough water. The Pungo 120 is a sit-on-top model with the storage and rigging options for serious kayak anglers. Its multi-chined hull allows great speed, tracking and stability. Both models are manageable in size and have convenient gear access.
Triton Boats 1652 T: This versatile 16-foot aluminum boat has a 77-inch beam and can accommodate a 25- to 50-hp motor. It’s available with a wide range of precision-matched outboards and has a winged rear deck with adjustable driver’s seat positions. A folding rear deck extension offers storage for a cranking battery and portable fuel tank. Long known for quality and rugged dependability in bass and walleye fishing circles, Triton also offers Realtree camo on seven other aluminum models: The 1760SC side console, 1862SC side console, 1862CC center console, 17TX bass boat, 17CTX crappie boat, 18TX bass boat and 18CTX crappie boat.
War Eagle Boats: These all-welded aluminum boats, with models ranging from 14 to 23 feet long, have a reputation of being the toughest crafts on the water. The company offers Realtree Hardwoods and Advantage Max-4 as camo paint patterns, and Advantage Max-4 as a vinyl upholstery option. Its Predator and VS stick-steering models, designed for crappie fishing, are quickly becoming popular with crappie guides and professional anglers in the South. Renegade models and Tomahawk-series boats have become renowned with bass anglers. And War Eagle says its Blackhawk-series boats fish as hard as they can hunt. Blackhawks come loaded and are built on an 18-foot V hull that provides a smoother ride and keeps you dry.
Ranger Boats RT188c: This rugged, durable aluminum boat is designed to be the ultimate fishing partner for everything from bass to catfish. It has a 92-inch beam and can accommodate motors of 90 to 115 hp while maintaining a smooth ride.
