For 126 years, Carhartt has delivered best-in-class enduring apparel that respects the hard-earned dollars of America’s hardworking men and women. Recognized for rugged construction, innovative design and exceptional standards of quality, durability and comfort, Carhartt work wear is a legend among America’s skilled tradesmen and craftsmen.
Carhartt was established in 1889 in Detroit, Michigan, by Hamilton Carhartt and is still going strong today. The company remains privately held by the Carhartt family to ensure its founder’s mission is carried through in every garment it produces.
“CARHARTT GOODS ARE NOT CHEAP FROM THE DOLLARS AND CENTS POINT OF VIEW, BUT WHEN WEAR, SERVICE, AND SATISFACTION ARE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION, THEY ARE INDEED THE BEST VALUE IN THE WORLD.”
– HAMILTON CARHARTT
With entrepreneurial vision and determination, Hamilton Carhartt, and the following three generations of Carhartts, have established a brand that has stood the test of time. Headquartered in Dearborn Michigan, with approximately 4,900 employees worldwide, Carhartt is family owned and managed by the descendants of the company‘s founder.
Carhartt first manufactured overalls in duck and denim fabrics. It then expanded the line from these traditional outerwear pieces to work wear, offering a variety of signature hallmarks, such as premium fabrics, rugged construction, comfortable fit and details like triple-stitched main seams, and generous work-functional pockets. Carhartt proudly serves a variety of workers in many industries, including oil and gas, electric utility, construction and manufacturing along with farmers, ranchers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Carhartt’s Realtree items cater to the outdoorsman who appreciates Carhartt’s long-standing reputation for quality products.
“Both Carhartt and Realtree are known for legendary performance and un-matched quality, which means we share a lot of the same consumers,” said Deb Ferraro, vice president of Product and Design at Carhartt. “We’ve collaborated with Realtree on many durable products over the years that allow our consumers to work and play hard in the rugged outdoors. Many of our consumers will be very pleased with the Carhartt product offering featuring Realtree in 2016 because it takes our work-to-woods concept to a new level.”
Carhartt is excited to introduce the new Buckfield Program Jacket and Pants in Realtree camo for fall 2016.
The Buckfield Program Jacket features Carhartt’s Storm Defender Membrane to provide incredible water protection. It includes a DWR (Durable Water Repellant) treatment and features a fine, almost microfiber face that provides “Bond Sites” for DWR to get a nice lasting finish on it. The jacket boasts good breathe-ability and has a high wind resistance.
Burrs brush off easily and it resists tears from briars and brambles. A little bit of stretch in the garment and panels under the arms allow for movement.
Pit-zips provide extra breathe-ability when the action heats up. The detachable hood is a versatile option, depending on the weather. ·A magnetic pocket on the upper chest is perfect for dropping in a phone or other items when zipping would create too much noise in a really quiet situation.
The reverse coil zipper provides DWR protection for moisture resistance and the sleeves’ internal cuffs provide additional comfort and protection in adverse weather. Draw-cord adjustment on each side pulls the top in tight to keep the wind out. The back of the jacket features a harness opening for added safety in the stand.
The Buckfield Program Pants feature the same impressive material as the top for comfort and durability afield. The pants feature alpha sizing that allows the hunter to adjust the waist and wear a belt. The pants are roomy enough to wear layers underneath, so you will stay extra warm in cold weather.
The back and crotch includes the same stretch material as the top for extra moveability. The pants have a number of pockets, including one magnetic pocket, for storage of essential items. A zippered opening with a snap goes from the leg opening to the knee, making the pants easy to pull on. The pants slip on easily over long johns or boots.
